About Me

Hi, I’m Elena, and I started Sparkling Escapes to share clear and real travel guides and full itineraries. Some places I share here are famous, while others are less popular. What truly matters, though, is how you plan them, especially when you don’t have unlimited time or days off. That’s why this blog helps you build days based on your priorities and how you like to travel.

I’ve been traveling since I was a kid. At that time, just being somewhere new felt exciting. However, once I started planning my own trips, I saw how quickly that excitement could turn into stress. Suddenly, there were too many tabs open, too many “must-see” lists, and too much pressure to do everything. Because of that, I decided to find my own way.

Since I naturally sort everything into clear buckets, I plan trips by areas and neighborhoods. As a result, I create guides and itineraries that make sense geographically, so you’re not running back and forth across a city all day.

What You’ll Find Here

This isn’t a list of random “top 10 things to do.” Instead, I create travel guides that help you actually plan your trip. You’ll find simple one-day and multi-day itineraries, clear routes, and honest advice about what to see and what you can skip.

In addition, I share hotel picks, because where you stay can change how your day feels. And yes, I’m a hotel snob. For me, details matter, from the lunch spot or café you end up loving to the overall vibe of the place.

So, if planning a European trip ever felt confusing, or if you simply like having a plan, this blog is for you. My routes and guides are flexible. Think of them as a frame you can adapt to your own travel style.

Why Listen to Me

I’m not a full-time traveler with endless time or money. Instead, I work a regular 9-to-5 and plan my trips in the evenings, usually with too many tabs open and a notebook full of notes.

Like most people, I travel with limited days off, big expectations, and a real wish to enjoy the place instead of just checking boxes. Over the years, I’ve made plenty of mistakes. I’ve missed trains, wasted afternoons, and booked hotels I didn’t like. Because of that, I learned how to plan better.

Now, I share what I’ve learned so you don’t have to learn it the hard way.

Here’s the Thing

In the end, travel should feel good. Most importantly, it should make sense.
And ideally, it should stay with you after you get home.

So bookmark this site, come back when you’re planning your next trip, and let’s make it one you truly enjoy.

Welcome to Sparkling Escapes.
