Things to Know Before Booking a Hotel With Eiffel Tower Views

This part matters a lot. It can save you money and disappointment.

Not all “Eiffel Tower view” labels mean the same thing

Some Paris hotels use the label “Eiffel Tower view” very loosely. It can mean: a tiny side view or a far away view or a view that is blocked by buildings. What to do to avoid and don’t be disappointed when you’ll arrive? Don’t trust only the hotel website gallery, check real guest photos (on Google reviews or Instagram posts) first.

Book the exact room type

Never assume all guest rooms have the view or the same. Because of this, look for room names like: Eiffel Tower view room, Eiffel View, Tour Eiffel View”, Eiffel Suites, Superior rooms or deluxe rooms that clearly mention the tower. For cheaper otions. look for partial Eiffel tower view. If the room only says “city view” or “classic room”, don’t expect the Eiffel Tower.

Higher floors usually mean better views

Even the best hotels can have a blocked view on lower floors. After booking, you can send a message to the property to check if higer floors are available or check for an upgrade of your room.

Balconies and private terraces sell out fast

A room with a balcony or private terrace is usually the first to sell out. If you want that “coffee with a view” moment, book early.

The best areas to stay for Eiffel Tower views

If the view is your priority, the area matters a lot. In general, the 7th arrondissement is one of the best places because it’s the Eiffel Tower area and close to landmarks like Les Invalides and Musée Rodin.
However, the 15th arrondissement is also a great option. It’s close to Champ de Mars but often feels more local and can be a little calmer.
And if you want that wide, postcard angle, the 16th arrondissement around Trocadéro is famous for it (many luxury hotels are here too). For example, Shangri-La Paris is located in the 16th.

Quick Mini Guide for picking Eiffel tower view hotel

Instead of guessing which area is better, check this mini cheat sheet. Usually, this helps a lot when you’re choosing between hotels.

  • Champ de Mars + Eiffel Tower: close-up views, easy to get there early in the morning
  • Trocadéro: wide views, iconic photos, “entire city” feeling
  • Seine River / Left Bank: pretty walks, calmer energy, easy access to museums
  • Arc de Triomphe + Champs Élysées: shopping, big city feel, prime location
  • Latin Quarter + Notre Dame: classic Paris streets, bookshops, lively but not “luxury hotel zone”

Final thoughts

How to Make Sure You’re Booking a Real Eiffel Tower View? Use this checklist every time you want to book a hotel with a view.

  • Before booking
Search the hotel name + “Eiffel Tower view room”, also look for guest posts from balconies, windows, and beds and most important: read recent reviews for view confirmation (recent matters most).
  • During booking
Select the exact room type that mentions Eiffel Tower view. If there are “superior rooms” or “deluxe rooms”, read the description carefully (not all of them has the view you want). Also, check if it’s partial view or total view. If the view costs more than you expected or planned, decide if it’s worth the extra cost for your trip.
  • After booking (do this right away).
Message the hotel and ask if they have any avalabilities for a higher floor or an upgrade (for extra cost most of the time). If you aren’t sure what view you’ll going to have ask if the view is direct or partial.
